Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all work carried out by Old School Roofing Ltd. By accepting a quotation or instructing us to proceed with work, you agree to the terms set out below.

1. Quotations & Estimates

  • All quotations are provided free of charge and are valid for a limited period, as stated on the quote.

  • Quotations are based on a visual inspection and information available at the time.

  • If additional work is required due to unforeseen issues (e.g. hidden damage), this will be discussed and agreed before proceeding.

2. Acceptance of Work

  • Acceptance of a quotation may be verbal, written, or via electronic communication.

  • Once accepted, Old School Roofing Ltd will schedule the work at a mutually agreed time.

3. Payment Terms

  • Payment terms will be agreed prior to work commencing.

  • In some cases, a deposit may be required.

  • Final payment is due on completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Late payments may result in additional charges or recovery action.

4. Delays & Weather Conditions

  • Roofing work is weather dependent.

  • Old School Roofing Ltd will not be held responsible for delays caused by adverse weather conditions or events beyond our control.

  • Where delays occur, we will communicate and reschedule as soon as reasonably possible.

5. Access & Customer Responsibilities

  • Customers must provide safe and reasonable access to the property during agreed working hours.

  • Vehicles, fragile items, and personal belongings should be cleared from the work area where possible.

  • Old School Roofing Ltd will not be liable for damage caused by pre-existing structural defects.

6. Materials

  • All materials supplied remain the property of Old School Roofing Ltd until payment is received in full.

  • Materials may vary slightly in colour or appearance due to manufacturer availability.

7. Guarantees & Warranties

  • Any workmanship guarantees will be clearly stated at the time of quotation.

  • Guarantees do not cover damage caused by extreme weather, misuse, lack of maintenance, or third-party interference.

  • Manufacturer warranties apply only where specified.

8. Variations to Work

  • Any changes or additional work requested by the customer must be agreed before commencement and may incur additional costs.

9. Damage & Liability

  • Old School Roofing Ltd is fully insured for public and employer’s liability.

  • We are not responsible for damage caused by hidden defects, ageing materials, or pre-existing issues not visible during inspection.

10. Cancellations

  • Cancellations should be made as soon as possible.

  • Where work has already commenced or materials have been ordered, reasonable costs may still be payable.

11. Waste Removal

  • All waste generated from the agreed works will be removed unless otherwise stated in the quotation.

  • Disposal is carried out in accordance with relevant regulations.

12. Complaints

  • Any concerns should be raised as soon as possible to allow us the opportunity to resolve them promptly and fairly.

13. Governing Law

  • These Terms & Conditions are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
